The Next Era of Innovation

METICULOUS ENGINEERING LEADS TO UNMATCHED PERFORMANCE

We believe a superior shaft is defined by its ability to maximize performance and instill player confidence with smaller misses and incredible feel. The biggest variables in the shaft fitting equation are the unique attributes of a player's swing and delivery at impact. Our premium materials, advanced architecture and build precision offer players an experience they crave: loaded power and consistent stability without sacrificing hand feel.

PREMIUM MATERIALS

SPREAD TOW CARBON FIBER FABRIC

There’s a variety of characteristics that differentiate and define the quality of raw materials. Manufacturers use a spectrum of carbon fiber modulus grades from standard- and intermediate-modulus (which you might find in many stock golf shafts), to high-modulus carbon fiber with increased stiffness more likely found in aftermarket products.

Better performance starts with premium materials.

EXOTIC FIBERS

To start, our shafts utilize premium, ultra-high modulus, exotic fibers for their extreme stiffness as a raw material.

MULTI-DIRECTIONAL, SPREAD TOW FABRIC

The fibers are woven into a flat, spread tow fabric creating an ultra-thin, lightweight, multi-directional material with optimal fiber-to-resin strength ratio. It's called PowerGrid™, and it absorbs stresses in multiple directions while evenly distributing them along the fabric due to its interlocking structural weave.

ADVANCED ARCHITECTURE

Alternating layers from the inside out

Most manufacturers follow a similar architecture and steadfast manufacturing process limiting their ability to unlock elevated levels of stability and feel.

In just about every conventional graphite shaft, the term “Bias Core” is commonly used to describe its architecture. The bias, meaning “angled,” plies are grouped and applied at the innermost layers, or “core,” of a graphite shaft - hence the name, “Bias Core.” These plies are responsible for resisting torsional forces or simply put, twisting at impact.

TRADITIONAL
BIAS CORE SHAFTS

Bias core construction limits 45º plies to the inner most layers closest to the mandrel limiting torsional support in the outer layers and bending stiffness in the inner layers.

ARETERA
CORELESS DESIGN

Our Coreless Design eliminates the bias core all together and integrates bias plies throughout the shaft wall from the inside out providing inertial balance between bending and torsional stiffness. This every-other stacking sequence requires a more complex manufacturing process the industry has yet to actualize until now.

When Coreless Design is paired with PowerGrid™, we unlock superior stability without sacrificing feel so players can store more energy, swing with less effort, and trust in controlled repeatability at impact.

BUILD PRECISION

4X FULL & SEGMENTED PLIES

Premium materials not only provide consistent flex properties, they also allow us to create ultra-thin layers with up to 4X the amount of plies compared to conventional layups. That means designers have 16-20 layers to refine performance characteristics opposed to the traditional 5-7. Our materials empower us with significant design opportunities to fine tune the ideal balance of flex, stability and feel. The result is an optimal transfer of power, unmatched stability and incredibly connected fluidity you can feel.

TRADITIONAL BUILD
5-7 PLIES

Industry leading shafts on the market typically utilize 5-7 total plies or layers of material.

ARETERA BUILD
16 - 20 PLIES

ARETERA utilizes 16-20 segmented plies depending on the profile’s weight and flex.
